Qualifications: 

Cook - Grade X as well as a journeyperson cook certificate. Have knowledge of basic principles of food safety and sanitation.

Food Service Worker - Grade X education, Food Safe Handling Certificate. Must demonstrate concern and interest in providing quality care for residents. Must be physically fit and able to perform duties.

Job Summary:

Cook - Under the direction of the Cook/Working Supervisor, prepare food items, cook meals, set up serving area and serve food. Clean equipment and work area, receive and store food supplies, rotate stock, open and close kitchen. Ensure quality control, orientate new staff in the area, prioritize and perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with standards and regulations.

Food Service Worker - Under the direction of the Cook/Working Supervisor, assists with the production and distribution of food and beverages to residents, staff and family and provides and maintains a clean and safe work environment. Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
