Job Description: Operates and monitors computerized building control systems and maintains facility/plant systems and equipment. Independently performs repairs/installations on a wide variety of complex building systems and equipment.

Education
- Building Systems Technician certificate
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Power Engineering License pursuant to the Boiler & Pressure Vessels Safety Act
Other Education and Training
- Refrigeration Engineer certificate, where required by job
- Pool Operator certificate, where required
- as required by the Boiler and Pressure Vessels Safety Act
- Refrigeration Plant Operator certificate, where required by job
- 5th Class Engineering certificate, as required by the

Other Information
- Perform maintenance and repairs: Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Conduct inspections: Regularly inspect buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential risks before they become major problems. Entering data on a spreadsheet.
- Ensure safety and compliance: Make sure all facility operations comply with safety and environmental regulations and maintain a safe working environment for occupants.
- Respond to issues: Promptly address maintenance requests and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
- Coordinate with others: Work with other facility personnel and coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs, keeping records of those conversations and solutions.
- Manage inventory: Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
- Maintain records: Keep accurate records and documentation of all maintenance and repair activities for reporting and historical purposes.
