Job Description: The EMT-PCP will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT-PCP will cover standby assignment as operations require. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education

• Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses

• Valid Class 4 driver's license
• Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
• International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)

Other Education and Training

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Certificate (BLS-HCP)

• Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call

Additional Comment

• No guaranteed hours. Must be Available a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours per 3 week period. Must be available all shifts, short shifts, short notice calls, stats and holidays, where applicable
