Job description: Reporting to the Superintendent, the Advanced Care Paramedic performs basic life support and also can deliver the widest range of advanced life support skills and administration of medications currently allowed for paramedics in Saskatchewan. An ACP license is the highest level that can be achieved in Saskatchewan with the most educational requirements that build upon education received as a Primary Care Paramedic or an Intermediate Care Paramedic.

Education:
- Grade 12
Licenses:
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
- International Trauma Life Support Advanced Certificate (ITLS)
- Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic/Advanced Care Paramedic (EMT-P/ACP)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
Knowledge & Abilities:
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Thorough knowledge and application of SHA Values, Protocols and Work Standards
- Exemplary ability to take charge of an emergency scene
- Demonstrate accountability, promptness, dependability, professionalism
- and honesty while adhering to the SHA values
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing workload
- Highly developed clinical skills and knowledge as an Advanced Care Paramedic
- Working closely with other emergency responders
- Ensure scene safety & prioritize patient care when faced w/multiple casualties
- Knowledge, application and operation of equipment related to the practice of EMS
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
Other Education & Training:
- Emergency Vehicle Operations training
- Current CPR Level C
