Job Description: The Dietitian Degree Senior reports to an interprofessional manager and will practice as a Clinical Dietitian. The Dietitian Degree Senior is responsible for managing the nutrition care of patients. The Dietitian Degree Senior supervises and promotes the activities of registered dietitians in a designated unit within the area of the Integrated Health Services (IHS) to ensure that patients referred to that service receive high quality nutrition intervention. The Dietitian Degree Senior is responsible for a clinical caseload and provides direct care to clients. The Dietitian Degree Senior collaborates in the development, evaluation and continuing education of dietetic interns and other health care professionals of the Saskatoon Health Region. Position is responsible for planning and assessing treatment and practice protocols.

Experience

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Two (2) years' relevant work experience determined by Employer.

Education

  • Dietetic Internship certificate
  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BSc(Nutr))

Memberships

  • Saskatchewan Dietitians Association (SDA)
  • Dietitians of Canada (DC)

Other Education and Training

  • Certified Diabetes Educator, is an asset
