GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting to, and working directly with the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Board/Patient and Family Centered Care (PFCC) Coordinator works with a provincial focus to develop, implement, evaluate, and support strategies to advance patient and family-centered care throughout the Agency. As such, the position coordinates the function and integration of the Agency’s Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC). Additionally, this position serves as a liaison to the Board of Directors, coordinating the activities of the Board as well as two Board sub-committees - Quality, Safety, Risk and Governance/Human Resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A post-secondary certificate in office administration
- 5 to 7 years’ experience with administrative and project management functions
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Previous experience in health care is an asset.
SKILLS:
- Problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people.
- Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, patient/family focused orientation, and commitment to providing quality services.
- Ability to work independently, exercise appropriate action, and good business judgement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize tasks, and maintain control of workflow.
- Extensive knowledge of the best practices applicable to PFCC.
- Facilitation and/or coordination experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications and experience with database systems.
