Job Description: The Safety Associate assists & consults with all key stakeholders to ensure all injuries & potential incidents are investigated & corrective action is implemented. Prepares reports & statistics to identify trends & make recommendations. The incumbent requires excellent communication skills & working knowledge of regional department staff & functions; must effectively work with staff, leaders, physicians to integrate best practices & standards. Responsible to support the coordination of documentation & workflow of safety education, training, client concerns & safety incidents. Maintain, monitor, track trends of various Safety databases/registries locally & provincially. The Associate requires a high degree of independence, creativity, technological applications & personal initiative. Requires sensitivity & tact in managing interactions, confidential public information & data. Associate supports success of system wide improvement & attainment of the SHA's Safety goals.

Experience
- Two (2) years experience in an office environment
- Experience in leading teams and project management
Education
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in business
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in a health related field
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in an applicable field
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Lean Certification or LILT preferred
