Job Description: The Administrative Assistant, Practitioner Staff Affairs is primarily responsible for administrative support in the Practitioner Staff Affairs department.

Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in an administrative support position

Education

  • Office Administration certificate
  • Office Administration Diploma

Competencies

  • Communication skills
  • Advanced - Organizational skills
  • Advanced - Interpersonal skills
  • Advanced - Computer skills

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure 
  • Knowledge of College of Physician and Surgeons of Saskatchewan
  • Knowledge of Canadian Medical Protective Association
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Ability to assume responsibility and work independently
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
  • Knowledge in the Saskatchewan health care system
  • Must be well organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge in Medical Services Branch billing procedures is an asset
  • Knowledge in quality improvement theory and methodologies
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of HRSDC, Citizenship and Immigration laws and guidelines
