Job Description: The Administrative Assistant is directly accountable to the Director's of Integrated Northern Health Primary Health Care Network 1 & Mental Health & Addictions to provide confidential administrative support. This position supports, and contributes to, processes and practices to ensure the efficient operation of the portfolio(s), through accurate, timely and efficient execution of administrative support functions. The incumbent works closely, in a collaborative and cooperative manner, with all members of the administrative team to assist in accomplishing the Saskatchewan Health Authority's objectives. The incumbent co-ordinates workflow with other administration support staff and, in their absence, may provide support services as requested.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a senior administrative assistant-type role

Education

  • Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by a recognized business course

Other Education and Training

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to adapt to frequent change and work under pressure
  • Ability to work collegially, collaboratively and build positive relationships
  •  Excellent proficiency in editing material for clarity, accuracy and conciseness
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, independent judgment & organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the healthcare system in Saskatchewan.
  • Knowledge of First Nations and Metis history in Saskatchewan
  • Demonstrated approaches to problem solving w/strong decision-making capability
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, scheduling & training platforms
  • Can maintain confidentiality including confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge & experience in minute taking & synthesizing information
