Sr. MRI Technologist

As a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the Senior MRI Technologist coordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic Services examinations, guides and directs clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment. Our technologists provide patient care within the HHS core values of respect, caring, innovation and accountability. The Senior MRI Technologist accepts the responsibility for the technical operation, coordination and quality of service for Magnetic Resonance Imaging within Diagnostic Services. Liaises with the Radiologist to ensure the technical quality of procedures within that area are performed at a high level.

Rotation though other modalities and sites, based on qualifications and unit requirements maybe required including ongoing training as needed.

• Graduate of an approved training program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with CAMRT
• Current member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
• Professional designation of Registered Medical Radiation Technologist (MR)
• Minimum of (3) years experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) registration
• Advanced skill in performing complex studies independently
• Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills
• Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment
• Evidence of participation in on going education & professional development
• Membership in the CAMRT/OAMRS preferred
