Sr. Lab Technologist

The Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist performs a variety of laboratory tests and duties in accordance with HRLMP policies and procedures. These include but are not exclusive to the performance of Core Hematology, Core Coagulation, and Core Chemistry testing, review of quality control, troubleshooting and coordination of day to day operations of the Core Laboratory. 
 

1. Medical Laboratory Technologist Certification (Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Sciences) 
2. Member in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario 
3. Current (minimum 5 years) experience required in Core Laboratory 
4. A.R.T. in Chemistry and/or Hematology or relevant B.Sc., e.g. Biology or Biochemistry or B. Technology in Health Sciences 
5. Extensive knowledge of Core Laboratory practices including related Quality Control 
6. Demonstrated evidence of excellence in communication, leadership skills and issue management 
7. Demonstrated ability to work in and foster a team environment 
8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
