As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Speech-Language Pathologist serves children and youth with Autism.  The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide assessment, parent-mediated and individual and group interventions and consultation within the McMaster Children’s Hospital Autism Program, including the delivery of Ontario Autism Program services.   Therapy may be conducted in clinic, in home, in the community or virtually. Mentoring is available in all areas of practice.  


Qualifications

1. Current registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
2. Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
3. Minimum of three years’ experience working with children and youth with autism and their families 
4. Comprehensive knowledge of communication and social development and communication, speech and language delays/disorders
5. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting
6. Demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills
7. Willingness and ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
8. Willingness to participate in criminal reference check
9. Fluency in French will be considered an asset
10. Must be able to obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS)
