Social Worker MSW

As a member of the healthcare team, the Social Worker provides direct patient care through the provision of psycho-social screening and assessments; individual and family counseling and treatment; crisis intervention; bereavement counseling; identification of high-risk child welfare issues; liaison and referral to community agencies; discharge planning, adoption support, advocacy and education.

1. Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work
2. Previous experience in providing crisis and bereavement counseling
3. Demonstrated knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act and other related
4. Demonstrated knowledge of issues related to child welfare and adoption and issues of diversity
5. Demonstrated knowledge of child and family community support services
6. Demonstrated skills in the performance of a therapeutic role including strong assessment, counseling, case management, crisis intervention and advocacy skills
7. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment and to organize, prioritize and problem-solve effectively
8. Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, consultation and teaching skills
9. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning
