The Secretary will provide clerical support to the Department Manager. The position may be required to support the Site Chief, Department Radiologists, Office Coordinator, Charge Technologists and other staff members within Diagnostic Services. The Secretary is also responsible for scheduling all administrative meetings and appointments and will transcribe resulting minutes. The Secretary may also be required to complete department payroll, generate purchase requisitions and preparation of research and publications. Additional responsibilities may include, photocopying, faxing, collection and distribution of mail. 
 


Qualifications

1. Graduate of Community College Business Secretarial Program or equivalent 
2. Minimum two years related office experience 
3. Demonstrated expertise in minute-taking and transcription abilities 
4. Proficient keyboarding skills (60 WPM) 
5. Demonstrated proficient computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and database systems (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, Word Perfect, Windows 2000, PeopleSoft, Management Resource Tool, Adobe Creator) 
6. Demonstrated effective problem-solving abilities 
7. Demonstrated ability to appreciate confidential nature of position 
8. Demonstrated interest in new learning 
9. Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative, organize and establish priorities and meet deadlines 
10. Knowledge and experience with Human Resource processes preferred
