Pharmacy Assistant

Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Registered Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Assistant will be responsible for retail pharmacy activities including but not limited to electronically processing and filling prescriptions, completing and reconciling third party billing, operating our point of sale system, providing exemplary customer service, and communicating effectively within and externally to the department. 

1. Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or completion of a recognized college level Pharmacy technician/assistant program
2. Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail setting required
3. Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a hospital setting preferred.
4. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, problem-solving and organizational skills 
5. Strong computer skills
6. Proven ability to follow specific instructions with a high degree of accuracy
7. Demonstrated initiative and judgment appropriate for the role
8. Proven ability to perform the physical requirements of the position including standing for long periods and moderate lifting
