As a member of the Internationally Educated Nurses’ (IEN) Integration Program, the IEN Coordinator works in close collaboration with the IEN Project Manager to support the achievement of Program goals and deliverables.  The IEN Coordinator has the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, maintain confidences while balancing multiple priorities including participant recruitment, data collection and reporting, supporting marketing activities and assisting with Program reports and proposals as needed.   A customer service focus is essential. 


Qualifications

1. Graduate of Community College Business Office Administration program or equivalent
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administrative assistant role preferably in a healthcare environment.  Knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
3. Strong administrative and organizational background, ability to prioritize, multi task, schedule and carry out tasks with strong attention to detail and deadlines, strong organization and time management skills
4. Demonstrated excellence in effective communication within a professional environment (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with experience in preparing a variety of reports (e.g. status, summary, monthly numeric and project plan reports).
5. Demonstrated excellent computer skills in a variety of applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook
6. Proficient keyboarding skills (60 wpm)
7. Effective and creative problem solving and analytical skills
8. Team player with strong sense of ownership and accountability; ability to work independently using own initiative, organize and establish priorities
9. Demonstrated ability to appreciate the confidential nature of the position
10. Demonstrated record in pursuing own continuing professional development
11. Demonstrated ability to develop systems that create efficient work flow
12. Demonstrated commitment to the HHS vision and continuous quality improvement
13. Demonstrated understanding of the corporate context and ability to make suggestions and create systems which will assist the program within this context.
