Early Childhood Resource Spec

As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Early Childhood Resource Specialist provides service through individual treatment, groups or consultation to families and caregivers at the centre, in the home and in the community.

1. Early Childhood Resource Teacher Certificate and registration with the College of Early Childhood Education
2. Diploma in Early Childhood education or a university degree in Child Studies
3. Current First Aid certificate
4. Two years E.C.E. experience working with children with neurological and/or developmental disabilities
5. Excellent knowledge of child development in all areas including an understanding of total communication strategies
6. Good knowledge of community programs and relevant agencies
7. Good communication skills both verbal and written
8. Familiarity with computer programs such as Microsoft Office
9. Demonstrated ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team
10. Access to a reliable, insured vehicle
11. Willingness to participate in a criminal reference screening process
12. Fluency in French will be considered an asset
