The Clinical Leader, Diagnostic Services works collaboratively with the Diagnostic Imaging Managers and physician leads to oversee the service provided in Interventional Radiology at the General, Juravinski and McMaster Sites. In collaboration with the Manager, Director and Executive Director, the Clinical Leader is responsible for management of the human, financial, material and capital resources supporting Interventional Radiology, ensuring the service operates in a manner that is efficient, volume and outcome responsive yet operating within current budgetary restraints. The Clinical Leader is responsible for the safe day to day operations of the service, fostering a positive atmosphere that supports team building, collaboration and shared learning, while ensuring excellence in the provision of services and quality of patient care. The Clinical Leader is responsible for communicating and disseminating information to staff, site Radiologists, Site Chief Radiologist, Director, Executive Director, Chief Radiologist and key clinical stakeholders (eg. Neurosciences, Oncology, Pediatrics) in a timely manner. The Clinical Leader will work collaboratively with colleagues at SJHH. The position requires extensive knowledge for Perioperative Processes and efficiencies and same medical imaging practices in multiple modalities.
Qualifications
1. Extensive knowledge of the practice of Perioperative Processes and Medical Imaging in multiple modalities.
2. Knowledge and understanding of financial management and planning
3. Project management and Lean skills experience required
4. Advanced computer skills and knowledge of hospital processes and system’s ( Microsoft Office, PACS, Meditech, Peoplesoft, Taleo, MI Req, SOR reporting, Budget Tool, Baseware, eRTP)
5. Registered Health Care Professional or Graduate of an approved Medical Radiation Sciences Program ( Diploma or undergraduate degree) or other relevant health professional experience required.
6. Master Degree in health administration, business administration would be an asset.
7. 5 years supervisory leadership in a Perioperative or hospital Medical Imaging Department required
8. 2 years Project Management required
9. 2 years Quality Management required
10. Knowledge of Broader Public Sector guidelines.
