Job Description

Work-Fit Total Therapy Centre is a full service rehabilitation clinic located in the Georgetown, Milton and Oakville Hospitals, providing exceptional service for over 30 years.

  • Assist Physiotherapist with treatment intervention with modalities, patient care, set-up and positioning
  • Provide patients with equipment, while fitting and adapting equipment with confidence to meet client needs
  • Instruct patients in exercises and use of equipment, reinforcing safety and specific precautions
  • Lead group programming as needed
  • Maintain supplies and provide departmental support with maintenance of all functions as required
  • Support office staff and physiotherapists with on-going documentation, chart updates and filing
  • Participate in promotional activities, community education, program development and Accreditation standards.

Qualifications

  • College Diploma/Certificate in Physiotherapist/Physiotherapy Assistant Program
  • Registered Kinesiologists or Exercise Therapists will be considered
  • Experience working in an outpatient setting is an asset
  • Ability to motivate, be empathetic and client-centered in all interactions with patients
  • Confident in computer use for documentation & communication
  • Initiative, good problem solving and observation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact effectively with an interprofessional team
  • Must be flexible and show an ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with all team members
  • Strong organizational abilities with efficient time management skills
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

Additional Information

Hours: Monday to Sunday, must be available for various shifts according to operational needs (e.g. 8:30-4:30, 9:00-5:00, 10:00- 6:00, 11:00-7:00) (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)

Salary: $31.776 to $36.575 per hour
