This is a full-time, thirty-seven and half hour (37.5) position with duties effective June 30th, 2025.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Facility Management Services, the Supervisor, Facility Programs & Systems provides leadership and support for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Board’s facility programs and systems. Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
• The Community Use of Schools portfolio, including community partner relations, bookings, policies and partnerships.
• Maintenance of the Board’s public use facilities, including sports fields, gymnasiums, auditoriums, etc.
• Act as the Facility Management Services liaison for childcare services.
• Administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management System, including Preventative Maintenance
scheduling and records keeping.
• Board keying and access card system lead.
• HVAC building controls & lighting systems support.
• Custodial work-loading program management.
• Energy & Environmental programs support; and,
• Ad hoc projects as assigned.
Supervision and management of custodial and maintenance staff, as well as contractors, will be part of the daily duties of the position. This position will be frequently assigned to work on both evenings and weekends.
Qualifications / Experience
College diploma in a related field.
Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years’ experience in facilities management for a large multi-site unionized organization or
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in a unionized environment, labour relations and collective agreements.
Working knowledge of the methods, techniques and technology related to custodial cleaning, facility maintenance and
facilities support services needs.
Experience managing a cost-center budget and prioritizing expenses to deliver on-plan performance.
Strong strategic business acumen well developed analytical, statistical and decision-making skills.
Advanced computer skills, including use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Microsoft Excel,
Microsoft Word and web-based software.
Excellent time management, problem-avoiding/solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills.
Superb communication and networking skills to liaise with community partners and vendors.
Must be able to work flexible shifts on a regular basis to supervise personnel and community groups during evenings
and weekends.
