This role is eligible to participate in the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) Flexible Work Arrangement Program.
Under the supervision of the Manager, Employee and Labour Relations, Human Resources Services, the Human Resources Services Assistant, Employee and Labour Relations provides administrative support for a range of Employee and Labour Relations functions. Key responsibilities include coordinating various tasks such as scheduling and preparing for labour-management meetings, organizing grievance responses and related documentation, assisting with meeting logistics, including recording of minutes, tracking action items, and preparing standard correspondence. The Human Resources Services Assistant, Employee and Labour Relations also assists with collective bargaining, gathering and maintaining documentation for workplace investigations, monitoring timelines, and supporting the accurate maintenance of labour relations files.
The Human Resources Services Assistant, Employee and Labour Relations, is responsible for maintaining confidential employee records to ensure they remain current, accurate, and complete for assigned employee groups, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Experience
• Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources or deemed equivalency
• Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader (CHRP or CHRL) designation is an asset
• Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a Human Resources Department
• Experience with a school board would be considered an asset
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Strong professionalism, discretion and adherence to confidentiality
• Excellent analytical and technical skills including experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Human Resources Information Systems. Laserfiche and iSYS*Works experience would be considered an asset.
