Job Description What you’ll do:Develop and optimize calibrations to meet performance and timing requirements utilizing Calibration Standard work where available.Prepare calibration reviews to ensure high quality, robust calibrations are released and maintained for current and future programs.Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on issues generated by test, field and customers. Leverage various tools, instrumentation to acquire the necessary dataWork with calibration and controls engineers to support new feature algorithm requirements development.Participate in development trips and related test activities.Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)Bachelor of Science in Engineering2+ years of experience in development, calibration, verification, or validation.Experience with in-vehicle testing, including troubleshooting experience with electrical systems. Ability to complete minor automotive mechanical and wiring work.Experience with data acquisition and analysis.Independent worker requiring little direction and works well in a team environment. Willing to gain specific training from a variety of people / techniques.Demonstrated adaptability and ability to deal with ambiguity and changes driven by program modifications/updates.Strong time management skills, required to meet agreed upon customer deliverables while managing multiple projectsAble to contribute to technical projects and work effectively with Local and Global teamsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel on short notice.Valid Driver’s license for Ontario.What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills)Master of Science degree in EngineeringExperience developing control system calibrations.Experience with tools commonly used in calibration: INCA, Vehicle Spy, CRETA, MDA, and/or MATLAB/SimulinkExperience with ETAS/INCA, Intrepid/Vehicle Spy or similar DAQ toolsDemonstrated experience developing scripts using programming languages such as Visual Basic, C, C++ or PythonExperience with OBDII compliant diagnosticsKnowledge of the bevHEAT Thermal SystemKnowledge of safety critical control systemsAbout GMOur vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.Why Join Us We aspire to be the most inclusive company in the world.
