Were looking for motivated, engaged people to help make everyones journeys better.Position Summary:Were looking for someone with a passion for Operations Leadership for a position in our Vancouver Flight Kitchen. If you have strong leadership skills and production experience this is an opportunity to take your career to the next level. You will be leading people and process in various departments including airline stores, warewash, final assembly and galley assembly. As were a 24hr/day, 7 days per week operation, you must be able to work various shifts.Salary up to $73,400.00Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Plan daily labour according to production requirements and productivity targetsAssign work and follow up throughout your shift to ensure your departments are achieving the planEnsure everything your teams produce meet your internal and external customers requirements (Quality) and are delivered on timeResponsible for safety, quality and compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements and company policies and proceduresProactively seek opportunities to improve upon safety, quality and productivityWork independently and with your peers to resolve problems in the supply chainResponsible for hiring, training, performance evaluation, coaching, counseling and preparing corrective action for employees and liaises appropriately with HR and other support functions.Education:High School Diploma or GED required.Associates degree preferred.Work Experience:2+ years supervisory experience working in a high volume, fast paced manufacturing or logistics operation preferredSkills:Must have strong and effective leadership skills, and the ability to successfully manage a staff of 50+ hourly employees.Strong communicator both verbally and in writingAbility to prioritizeCurrent or previous experience leading in a unionized environment is a plus, but not required.Ability to train others required.Must have the ability to give feedback to employees dailyExcellent time management skills required.
