Description
Fraser Heath is seeking to fill a Medical Co-Lead position which provides overall professional practice leadership and direction to the members of the Department of Addiction Medicine and Substance Use Services (AMSUS).
Reporting to the AMSUS Program Medical Director/Regional Department Head, the responsibilities of the Medical Co-Lead will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership and coordination of departmental education programming (including but not limited to AMSUS Education Days, Community of Practice Calls, Coordination of CME events)
- Provide assistance with coordination of flex projects and resident research projects.
- Collaborate with the Co-Medical Lead, Post-Graduate Education
- Provide leadership and support for clinical instructors
- Liaise with Addiction Medicine medical leads to ensure preceptors and sights are aligned with department teaching goals.
- Participate in the Regional MHSU committee meetings
- Ensure the requirements of programs operating within the department are coordinated
- Maintain regular communication with operational leaders, other physician leads and staff physicians within the department
- Attend the MHSU regional meetings
Qualifications
The successful candidate must:
- Have current licensure with CPSBC and current CMPA coverage
- Have CCFP or FRCPC
- Be an active medical staff member of the Fraser Health Authority Mental Health and Substance Use Program
- Have demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development

Three years, renewable by the Program Medical Director/Regional Department Head
