Re-Posted - Learning Commons Facilitator - Temporary - Part-time

Foothills School Division is seeking a Learning Commons Facilitator for Oilfields High School. This role is 0.5 FTE working 17.5 hours per week following the school calendar on Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternating Fridays. The successful candidate will be a motivated, self-starting individual responsible for overseeing operation of the School Library. As a member of a school based-team, this role will act as a resource to teachers and students in obtaining information and materials. The ability to establish a good working relationship with parents and community is critical. The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of technology, have excellent communication skills and be highly organized. Experience in an automated environment and in the library field is preferred. The salary range for this position will depend on the successful applicant's qualifications and experience: Learning Commons Facilitator 1 - Experience and/or training with library procedures, cataloguing and filing systems Learning Commons Facilitator 2 - Library and Information Technology Diploma Learning Commons Facilitator 3 - Library Science Degree
