Job Description:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, providing support to the Group Benefits Operations Teams. This individual will be a part of and work closely with members of the Group Benefit National Workflow Team, in a fast paced environment to ensure service standards are met daily.

What will you do?

  • Manage requests and inquiries via various inboxes, maintaining service levels standards

  • Prioritize and assign work items in workflow tool based on set criteria

  • Retrieving, downloading and distributing of daily reports

  • Filing, photocopying and preparation of documents for off-site storage

  • Sort and distribute incoming hard copy mail or faxes and scan paper mail as requested

  • Support additional functions critical to operations such as managing small projects, perform manual member transactions, or any other task as requested

  • Support team on various 'clean up' projects or initiatives that foster an organized and healthy work environment

  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure service standards are met

  • Flexible and adaptable

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure while maintaining a high degree of accuracy

  • Strong team player with a high interest in working in a cross functional team environment

  • Excellent keyboarding and computer skills (Lotus Notes,Outlook Excel & Word)

  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
