Job Description:
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for:
Creating and managing analytics tools (using SLFD sales and other SFLD-related performance data), to identify areas for improvement, evaluate current business processes, and propose data-driven solutions
From the analysis, derive insights and opportunities to share with field management to increase the effectiveness of the sales force in achieving performance targets and growth mandates
Monitoring performance effectiveness of key SFLD initiatives and strategies
Reporting to the Director, SFLD Field Leader Effectiveness and working closely with all members of Field Leader Effectiveness team, this position requires a proactive, self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent time management and prioritization skills to function in a high intensity and frequently changing environment. It is also important for this individual to work closely with partners across the Distribution organization, as well as SLFD managers.
What will you do?
Working with business related datasets to contribute analytics and insights to projects and initiatives in support of the business plan and performance targets
Create, implement, and monitor projects and initiatives consistent with/in support of the business plan and performance targets
Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting for key initiatives
Drive research, data collection, and data analysis to support business plans, business targets and key initiatives
Supports Field Leader Effectiveness in presentation development and content delivery
Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners at all levels, including effectively engaging field management
What do you need to succeed?
Understanding of SLFD distribution channel, as well as the underlying business metrics of the SLFD distribution channel
High drive to execute plans to on time, on scope, and on quality expectations
A resourceful problem-solver that takes the initiative to independently create solutions
Highly comfortable with ambiguity and change
Strong ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives while driving desired results
Highly collaborative team player with drive and credibility to move others forward and accomplish objectives
Strong PC skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OneNote) including experience in building reports and creating/modifying VBA code
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy and details
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to explain difficult concepts to audiences of different levels of understanding and with an ability to influence, motivate and negotiate
University degree, preferably in an Analytics related field
As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
