Hello! My name is Leila, Recruitment Consultant at Fed Supply, a leading staffing agency specializing in supply chain, logistics, transportation, and customer service. We offer both temporary and permanent positions across the Greater Montreal Area. Our team of experts in supply chain and logistics speaks your language and understands your world.

A recognized player in the freight road transport sector, our client is currently looking for a Dispatcher to strengthen their logistics team.

As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for the daily management of a fleet of drivers handling both local and cross-border routes (Canada/United States). You will serve as the main point of contact between drivers and internal teams, ensuring smooth, compliant, and efficient delivery operations.

Your responsibilities:

Plan routes and optimize driver assignments according to operational priorities and client requirements.

Monitor trips and handle unforeseen issues related to the fleet (delays, roadside assistance, customs issues, etc.).

Work closely with drivers to ensure quality communication and provide them with all necessary trip information.

Collaborate with other members of the dispatch team as well as the compliance and safety departments.

Input, track, and update information in internal systems and ensure deadlines are met.

Contribute to route planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and propose solutions in the event of operational disruptions.

Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role within the transport, logistics, or maritime container sector.
Bilingualism (French/English) is required for communication with drivers and customs.
Comfortable with IT tools, particularly Excel
Familiarity with fleet tracking systems, and internal management tools.
Ability to work under pressure, solve problems quickly, and manage emotions in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Strong interpersonal skills: you know how to build trust with drivers and the internal team.
Organizational skills, team spirit, and autonomy are essential.
