Our client, an industrial company that designs custom technical systems, is growing and looking to add a new member to their purchasing team.
We are hiring an Industrial Buyer to support large industrial projects, working closely with different teams.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage the full purchasing process for complex industrial projects, from analyzing technical needs to receiving equipment;
Work closely with project managers, engineers, sales teams, and suppliers to ensure all technical requirements are met;
Find, evaluate, and choose suppliers based on technical quality, cost, and delivery time;
Organize and lead kick-off meetings to introduce and develop new suppliers;
Negotiate contracts and purchase terms, issue purchase orders, and track delivery schedules;
Take part in project meetings to help identify and solve supply chain risks;
Monitor costs, deadlines, and supplier performance using Microsoft D365 ERP and Excel tools;
Help improve purchasing processes and find better sourcing solutions.
Candidate Profile:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in industrial purchasing, preferably in a technical or manufacturing setting;
- Good at reading technical drawings and understanding requirements;
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, especially Microsoft D365;
- Bilingual in French and English, with strong English skills for international supplier communication;
- Education: DEC in procurement/logistics or Bachelor's degree in business, management, or engineering.
