Our client is a manufacturing company specializing in the design and production of high value-added technical components and subsystems for demanding, technology-driven industries. As part of the growth of its procurement team, the company is seeking a Buyer to support its operations and continued development.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze requirements generated by the PBM / MRP system
Create, place, and follow up on purchase orders
Monitor open purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery
Identify and qualify new suppliers
Evaluate quotations and provide purchasing recommendations
Track performance indicators (quality and on-time delivery - OTD)
Monitor and optimize inventory levels
Proactively communicate risks or issues to management
Coordinate between suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams (planning, operations)
Technical Skills
2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
Experience in a manufacturing / production environment
Experience purchasing metals and tools
Ability to read and understand technical drawings (strong asset)
Good command of Excel (intermediate level required)
Comfortable working with ERP / MRP systems
Fluency in both French and English is mandatory
