Hi, I'm Jérémy Dupeuble, Recruitment Consultant at Fed ManuTech. I'm currently looking for a Mechanical Designer to join a fast-growing company in the electric vehicle sector.
As a Mechanical Designer, you'll be at the heart of the product development process-designing, improving, and integrating mechanical components and systems for electric vehicles. Using Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional, you will create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings, while actively collaborating with the workshop and R&D teams during prototyping and testing phases.
Key responsibilities:
- Design new mechanical systems and improve existing ones.
- Build and document 3D assemblies and detailed 2D drawings.
- Maintain and update files within Autodesk Vault (ECO).
- Write technical documentation and assembly instructions.
- Coordinate prototype fabrication and testing.
- Integrate electrical components (e.g., harnesses) into mechanical assemblies.
- Work closely with the shop floor to validate and refine your designs.
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
- Experience in sheet metal, welded assemblies, machined and molded parts.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Working knowledge of Inventor and Vault Professional (or similar 3D software).
- Background in transportation or powered equipment is an asset.
- Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.
- Bilingualism (French required, English an asset).

- Salary: $60,000 to $110,000 depending on profile.
- Schedule: 40 hours/week, flexible hours (between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.).
