My name is Hugo, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the island of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and works in your environment. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.

I'm looking for a senior accounting analyst for my client, a transportation company located near the Rosemont metro station in the east end of the island of Montreal. This is a permanent position with a hybrid mode (3 days in the office and 2 days at home).

Main responsibilities:

- Participate in the budget process and support managers in the analysis of their monthly and annual financial results.
- Plan and ensure the execution of month-end (reconciliations, entries) and year-end financial work.
- Produce monthly financial reports and analyze budget variances.
- Maintain and improve the reliability of operational cost accounting by activity, as well as the department's key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide management with relevant financial information and analysis to support decision-making.
- Follow up regularly with managers on their financial results and budget variances.
- Monitor cash flow forecasts and make recommendations on the organization's financial health.
- Ensure that inventory accounts are properly maintained and that payroll expenses are accounted for.
- Ensure that internal controls are up-to-date, effective and respected.
- Optimize processes to ensure that financial information is reliable, timely and accessible.

Profile required:

- Professional CPA designation required.
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in a similar position.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (advanced level).
- Strong interest in technology and ability to work with financial systems.
- Openness to change and ability to adapt in a changing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thoroughness, organizational skills and good management of priorities.
- Excellent command of French (oral and written).
- Ability to communicate in English (oral and written).
