My name is Romane, and I am a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in finance. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance, and payroll positions.

I am looking for a payroll and benefits specialist for my client in the manufacturing sector. This is a permanent position in Sainte-Julie in hybrid mode.

Payroll management
* Process and verify payroll for nearly 300 employees (hourly, salaried, and CCQ) spread across multiple sites.
* Create, modify, and close employee files in the HRIS and payroll systems (Employer D).
* Manage timesheets, vacation time, bonuses, deductions, and taxable benefits.
* Produce tax slips (T4, Relevé 1, summaries, etc.) and perform year-end activities.
* Answer questions from employees and managers regarding compensation and benefits.

Benefits administration
* Administer group insurance plans and other benefits programs.
* Process enrollments, changes, and terminations, and communicate with providers.
* Manage leave tracking (vacation, sick, maternity, CNESST, etc.) and keep documentation up to date.

Operational support - finance
* Produce and update payroll, workforce, and benefits reports for the HR and Finance teams.
* Perform payroll-related accounting entries and assist with salary budget tracking.
* Monitor legislative changes and recommend improvements to internal practices.

Continuous improvement and quality
* Participate in the implementation and optimization of the HRIS.
* Contribute to the development of internal procedures and guides related to payroll and benefits.

* Degree in accounting, administration, human resources management, or a related field.

* Membership in the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) - an asset.

* Relevant experience (3 to 5 years) in payroll processing and benefits administration.

* In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (LNT, CNESST) and familiarity with the CCQ (an asset).

* Proficiency with Employer D or equivalent payroll software.

* Excellent command of Excel and Microsoft Office.

* Knowledge of an HRIS - an asset.

* Rigor, autonomy, and a strong commitment to employee service.

* Discretion, attention to detail, and respect for confidentiality.

* Ability to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with multiple departments.
