I am looking for a Financial Controller for my client based on the South Shore. This is a permanent hybrid position in Brossard.
* Coordinate and ensure the accuracy of monthly financial information for properties
* Present and explain financial information to the Director of Finance
* Analyze and interpret various financial and accounting reports
* Review and approve monthly and year-end reconciliations
* Coordinate the monthly closing process and adjusting entries
* Coordinate and review operating and capital forecasts and budgets
* Coordinate the preparation of audit files for annual audits
* Ensure the implementation of internal controls
* Supervise an accounting team (approximately 8 employees)
* Participate in assigned special projects, including development and improvement projects (administrative, IT, and compliance)
* Establish and maintain good working relationships with auditors
* Perform any other related duties of a similar or general nature.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and in commercial real estate accounting
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, Accounting specialization
* Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
* Excellent command of MS Office software, particularly Excel
* Knowledge of Hopem and/or Yardi
* Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written
