I am currently seeking a Financial Controller for my client in the eastern part of the island of Montreal. This is a permanent, 100% on-site position with flexibility.
Your responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger for all entities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and reporting.
- Supervise and mentor a small finance team.
- CPA designation (or equivalent) required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a multi-entity or cross-border environment.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and US GAAP.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Microsoft Business Central, an asset).
- Bilingualism (English/French) is a significant asset.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, ideally in aeronautical or aerospace production, is a significant asset.
