I am currently seeking a Financial Controller for my client in Mile End. This is a permanent position with a hybrid work schedule (two days of remote work and three days in the office).
Your responsibilities:
- Ensure rigorous and compliant day-to-day accounting management for all corporate entities, including:
- Supervision of accounts payable
- Month-end/quarter-end/year-end processes and annual audit, including month-end adjustments.
- Analyzing financial results compared to the budget
- Complying with tax requirements and deadlines, including the quality of government filings:
- Overseeing consumption tax remittances and source deductions
- Tracking tax collections
- Managing communications/requests from various regulatory authorities (RQ, CRA, CNESST, etc.)
- Tax filing process
- Support managers in their decision-making
- Involvement in cash flow forecasting and review
- Participate in the budget process
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting firm or company
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Google technology suite is an asset
- Knowledge of Sage 300 is an asset
- Fluency in French (spoken and written) and knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
