I'm Caroline, Recruitment Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.
I'm looking for an Accounting Technician for my client based on the South Shore. This is a permanent position.
Accounting operations
- Support the team in recording transactions related to accounts receivable and accounts payable cycles, in accordance with internal control procedures;
- Investigate discrepancies, coordinate corrective transactions, and propose solution-oriented process improvements;
- Perform monthly reconciliation and closing of various accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts;
- Perform month-end procedures related to intercompany transactions, period-end allocations, and other related tasks;
- Ensure control of inventory receipts and follow-up on related transactions;
- Record payroll entries.
Strategic support
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual audit;
- Participate in the development and improvement of financial practices and processes;
- Perform all other related tasks as needs and priorities evolve.
- DEC or BAC in accounting;
- CPA professional designation (an asset);
- Approximately five (5) years of experience in a similar role;
- Fluency in spoken and written French, functional English;
- Excellent command of Excel and Microsoft Office suite;
- Knowledge of ERP (an asset);
- Good organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Independence, initiative, team spirit;
- Integrity, thoroughness, and sense of confidentiality.
