My name is Fiona, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.

I'm looking for an Accounting Technician for a construction company located in Brossard, (hybrid with 3 of TT).

Your mission as an Accounting Technician:
Ensure the smooth running of the accounting cycle for construction projects, including :
- Issuing customer invoices and following up on payments in accordance with contractual agreements.
- Registration and approval of supplier/subcontractor invoices, and timely payment.
Act as accounting point of contact within project teams and ensure compliance of projects with internal policies and legal requirements, including:
- Verifying the proper creation of projects in the system and their financial tracking.
- Identify and report financial risks related to contracts (payment terms, invoicing conditions, deficiencies in project documentation, etc.).
- Answer questions from project teams and management on accounts receivable, accounts payable and project accounting, which may include preparing analyses.
Participate in project team training on accounting processes and internal procedures.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting department processes, policies and procedures.

To work with us, you need:

A college diploma in accounting or a related field;

At least three years' experience as an accounting technician;

Good oral and written communication skills in French and basic English to communicate with teams (functional bilingualism);

Good command of the Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office automation tools;

Knowledge of Avantage accounting software (an asset);

Experience in the construction industry (an asset).
