Job Description

Registered Dietitian

PERMANENT Full-Time, Cobourg, Port Hope & surroundingAt Extendicare, we believe that working as a team and celebrating achievements creates an environment that allows us to reach our potential. As a valued member of our clinical teams, you will provide nutritional care services for Residents within legislative and budgetary parameters.This position will be shared between our two Northumberland County Long-Term Care Homes, Extendicare Cobourg and Extendicare Port Hope, as well as providing service in sister Extendicare Homes within short commutes.

What you’ll be doing
  • Consult with and advise the Dietary Manager and Director of Care concerning nutrition and hydration program needs through performing nutritional assessment using RAI MDS 2.0, nutritional care planning, implementation and follow-up for residents by involving the Resident, family members and care team.
What you bring
  • Registered Dietitian, eligible for membership with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Ideally, 2-3 years' experience in a Long-Term Care setting with extensive knowledge of geriatric nutrition
  • Proficiency and Experience with RAI MDS 2.0, familiarity with software PointClickCare is an asset
