Job Summary:

Class 5 driver with Q Endorsement (air brake) & equipment operator out of Edmonton, AB.

Position Responsibilities:

• Operate class 5 vehicle types for the collection of Hazardous and non-Hazardous containerized waste
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reports, daily truck report, route sheets and other documentation requested by the operations manager daily
• Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to mechanic and operations manager immediately. Operate truck and equipment using prescribed techniques to eliminate driver-induced mechanical failures.
• Follow safety standards, equipment checks and precautions in performance of all duties. Comply with all federal, provincial, and local rules on safety and vehicle operation.
• Operation of Heavy equipment – loader, skid steer, excavator and forklift
• Maintain a clean vehicle by cleaning cab interior and exterior of vehicle.
• Attend daily safety meetings as per site requirements.
• Position is 40% physical labour and 60% driving.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired.
• Possess a valid Class 5 License with air brake endorsement
• 3 year of satisfactory driving experience of Class 5 or Class 3 vehicles preferred.
• Clean drivers abstract.
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs
• This will be year-round work in all weather conditions.
