If so, we are seeking a Crisis Communications Senior Advisor who will be ensuring crisis communications response readiness for the Enbridge Gas Distribution and Storage organization, which is comprised of three Enbridge Gas utilities located in Ontario, Quebec and Ohio and, subject to regulatory approval in 2024, two additional utilities in Utah and North Carolina. In return, we offer opportunities to grow and increase your knowledge and skills, and an exciting career filled with a competitive benefits and pension package including generous time off.What You Will Do:Manage the Enbridge Gas Crisis Communications Program in support of the Enbridge Gas Emergency Response Program to ensure and enhance preparedness to respond to Enbridge Gas incidents in a professional manner that protects the company brand, reputation, and supports the business operation. This includes:Manage and evolve the Enbridge Gas Crisis Communications Plan and updates based on learnings from incidents and/or exercises.Manage related policies and procedures, supporting materials and technologies.Maintain a roster of identified members of the Enbridge Gas Crisis Communications Response Team (Public Information Officer (PIO), Liaison Officer and Digital Communications Officer functions) and coordinate related on-call rotations.Participate in the PIO rotation (approx. 1 week out of every seven).When on-call, actively lead crisis communications response and maintain personal readiness and training. Includes executing communication strategies in conjunction with key internal clients to protect the company reputation.Provide ongoing coaching for members of the Enbridge Gas Crisis Communications Team, and coordinate related training including media relations training, ICS, and role-specific training.Member of the Enbridge Enterprise crisis go team. Requires ICS 100 through 400 + PIO role-specific certification.Support the Manager of External Communications and Media relations in the coordination of crisis-focused media relations training for operations teams across the company, engaged in emergency response (incident commanders, operations managers, regional directors, municipal and government relations teams).Who You Are:Post-secondary university degree in communications, public relations, emergency management or related field.A minimum of seven (7) years’ progressive experience in an external communications role, which includes issues management, reputation management and crisis communications.Superior communication skills - written and spoken.Demonstrated ability to bring strategic communications lens and best practices to issues management, and influence without authority.Exceptional judgement, and ability to remain calm under pressure.Experience as a media spokesperson and in media training and support for others with crisis communications accountabilities (PIO’s, Operations Managers, Executives)Exceptional organizational, time management and project management skills.Preferred:ICS 100, 200, 300, 400 and PIO - role specific certification.Experience in the natural gas or energy industryEnbridge Flex-Work Program:Enbridge provides competitive workplace programs that differentiate us and offer flexibility to our team members.
