We are seeking a dynamic professional to lead and coordinate special projects within Major Projects Controls. This role focuses on driving harmonization and standardization of processes and reporting, ensuring consistency and efficiency across key functions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in aligning practices to support organizational objectives and deliver operational excellence.

What You Will Do:

  • Providing business and technical direction in the design, adaptation, and application of Project Controls within Major Projects while ensuring alignment between philosophies, goals, and outcomes. This includes, providing support and assistance to peers and executives in order to facilitate and integrate process improvement initiatives.

  • Establishing and continually improving service standards, processes, and procedures. This includes working with other project teams and the PMO to develop and implement standard business processes across Major Projects. These support the delivery and use of project management solutions that provide for repeatable standardized project management initiatives and adhere to the principles of standardization within the Business Unit and the industry.

  • Drive portfolio-level insights for Major Projects that influence leadership decisions through the development of standardized reports.

  • Lead the development, implementation and enhancement of digitization and automation initiatives that increase efficiency of program reporting and provide transparency to performance.

  • Coaching, mentoring and motivating teams of employees, contractors, and other stakeholders in support of change.

Who You Are:

  • University degree, diploma or related construction or engineering experience.

  • 6 or more years of previous related experience minimum or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in finance, engineering and/or project management is preferred.

  • Effective communication both verbally and in written form. This includes the ability to work well with peers, internal and external partners.

  • Well-developed leadership skills with the ability to interact and influence change amongst a wide range of management levels, coupled with an ability to raise and provide solutions for complex and often competing business issues.

  • Working ability of Power BI would be considered assets.

  • Valid passport to travel and work between Canada and US.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • Less than 10% travel.
