The Analyst Volumetric Accounting will be a member of the team responsible for oil accounting for the enterprise’s liquids systems.

This is a 12-month temporary assignment.

*Internally this role is known as Sr Analyst Volumetric Accounting.

What You Will Do:

  • Verify, balance and record crude oil receipts and deliveries for specified assets.

  • Issue monthly invoices and statements to customers.

  • Compile journal entries for the recording of revenue and associated receivables.

  • Verify gain/loss calculations through communication with Customer Service, field personnel and Operations Services.

  • Provide government agencies with required monthly and annual regulatory reporting.

  • Respond to Internal and External Audit queries.

  • Prepare monthly inventory and other reports for internal and external customers.

  • Cross-train with other members of the team.

  • Communicate with shippers, connecting pipelines and internal groups, such as Customer Service, Operations Services, Asset Management and Business Development.

Who You Are:

  • A university degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or an equivalent combination of accounting or industry related education.

  • 2 or more years of comparable proven experience

  • Strong initiative combined with keen attention to detail, excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Familiarity with personal computer productivity tools and standard business software.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Related experience in pipeline operations would be an asset.
