Are YOU our next Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist?
We’re looking for a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Histology team in Brampton, Ontario. You will be responsible for the performance and release of various laboratory tests following set procedures. Ensure all quality control checks and standards are run as required. Participate in all quality assurance programs and adhere to company and external regulatory bodies guidelines. Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment. Your contributions will make a difference - the results and reports you deliver will be provided to physicians and greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life.
Status: Permanent Full Time
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Discipline: Histology (Immunohistochemistry)
Work Style: Onsite
Location: 115 Midair Court, Brampton, ON

How YOU will make a difference:
- Process IHC requests through established workflows.
- Review requests for completeness and accuracy.
- Perform and document daily IHC quality control activities.
- Troubleshoot case-level technical issues.
- Enter and maintain IHC data within laboratory information systems.
- Create and maintain control blocks and tissue
- Coordinate with pathologists and lab staff to ensure timely case completion.
- Support training and onboarding of staff.
What YOU bring to the role:
- Carry a CMLTO Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing
- Three Years experience in IHC and Histology or equivalent
- Strong understanding of IHC staining, troubleshooting and QC
- Experienced working with direct immunofluorescence
- Experienced in control block creation, validation, and verification with understanding of tissue specific markers
- Experience training and motivating staff
- Previous senior-level or informal leadership experience
- Strong communication skills
Working conditions:
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. (pounds)
- High visual requirements
- Repetitive fine motor movements of hands
- Perform duties in stationary standing/sitting positions
- Exposure to noise, chemicals, solvents and bio-hazardous and radioactive materials
Pay rate: $39.00-$42.75 per hour
The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
