How YOU will make a difference:
- Responsible for bringing continuous improvement processes to the business, coaching various stakeholders through the process
- Ensure the systematic roll-out of improvement initiatives
- Supporting all effort to build on the existing improvements and work with cross functional teams to initiate and deliver new improvement initiatives
- Key technical leader for improvement opportunities. Working with team to support analyzing data, change management, project management and project implementation
- Lead CI events (Kaizens, LSS Tools, Project based learning)
- Engage, and mentor Green Belt, Yellow Belts and Power of Process candidates through to certification
- Be an active guide and coach to all roles and functions, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
- Provide input into strategic business planning
- Review and analyze programs and systems to ensure continuous improvement targets are achieved
- Facilitate CI training opportunities
- Conduct toll gate reviews as teams progress through DMAIC
- Assist with risk analysis, Key Performance Indicators , Critical to Quality and control plans for process improvement
- Communicate and celebrate accomplishments
- Share best practice sharing.
- Ensure the implementation of Six Sigma Lean solutions that are efficient and improve overall workflow, quality, cost and Employee and Customer Experience
What YOU bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) and a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in continuous improvement or;
• Other professional diplomas and a minimum of 4 years of prior experience in continuous improvement.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (an asset);
• Experienced in working with cross-organizational teams.
• Lean Six Sigma training and demonstrated ability to apply the methodology to complex projects (Certified Black Belt or Lean Belt preferred)
• Experienced in working with cross-organizational teams.
• Project management training and experience
• Experience managing budgets and analysing financial elements of projects
• Strong facilitation collaboration skills
• Analytical, problem-solving experiences.
• Working knowledge with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies;
• Planning and time management;
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and Analytical Tools
• Strong leadership competencies
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Organizational skills
• Action oriented and ability to make decisions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
