The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Senior Agent, Deductions. This job is full-time permanent.

Overview: The Financial Shared Services group executes transactional processes for the Corporation’s pulp and paper mill sector, in the areas of sales accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Invoicing, Deduction and Technical Support, you will be responsible for the Deduction Tasks and other pertinent day-to-day responsibilities.


Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Review assigned customer accounts for deductions, overpayments, and credit memos; includes Debit Backs and rebates;
• Research/obtain reasons and details regarding customer deductions/overpayment;
• Issue credit and debit memos;
• Reconcile the customer accounts under your responsibility;
• Monitor/follow-up customer deductions and tracking log for customer service responses;
• Ensure accurate daily processing of customer credit card transactions, review reports, follow up on disputes, and ensure there are adequate controls;
• Assist Inside Sales group and customers regarding their account information requests.

• You are known for your capacity to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
• You demonstrate good analytical and organizational skills;
• In addition to being customer oriented, you are proactive and a good team player;
• This position requires the ability to execute responsibilities with a minimum amount of coaching.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

• DEC in accounting or finance combined with 2 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of equivalent work experience;
• A working knowledge of French written and spoken;
• Experience in the cash cycle is an asset;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office Suite products;
• Good knowledge of SAP (FI/CO and SD/MM) and AS400 is an asset.
