The location in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Financial Analyst. This job is full-time permanent.
General Description
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key support role in financial data analysis, report preparation, and budgeting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated young professional to develop their skills within a large organization that offers growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyze budget variances (actual vs. budget vs. forecast) and provide recommendations.
- Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Support the consolidation of financial results from various business units.
- Help develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards.
- Provide analytical support to managers and the operations team.
- Prepare financial presentations for senior management.
- Participate in internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automate reporting when possible.
- Perform any other related tasks linked to the financial function.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field;
- In the process of obtaining a professional designation (CPA, CFA, or MBA);
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience (internships included) in finance or accounting;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data;
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.);
- Knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.) is an asset;
- Attention to detail, thoroughness, and ability to meet deadlines;
- Team spirit, interpersonal skills, and initiative;
- Strong communication skills in both French and English (written and spoken).
