The location in Skookumchuck, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Engineer, Reliability. This job is full-time permanent.
The Engineer, Reliabilty provides engineering services to the Operating departments tin increase realiablity and minimize cost. Responsibilities include:
- Provide advice and guidance to the maintenance and operations groups on technical aspects of issues. Analyze equipment failures, suggest and implement engineering solutions for failure prevention, inspect vessels and equipment, submit reports and initiate necessary action.
- Assume responsibility for planning mechanical repairs and modifications to existing systems as required. Make recommendations based on calculations. Ensure compatibility with existing systems, spare parts, Mill standards, environmental policies, while meeting the budget.
- Plan and prepare major maintenance expenditure proposals for submission to annual contract maintenance budget.
- Support the promotion of a safe work environment and a health and safety program
Education and Experience
- Degree in Engineering
- P. Eng. designation plus continuing courses in order to keep current
- 2-3 years as an Engineer with at least one year in a Pulp or Paper Mill environment
- Continued exposure to new technology, equipment, and computerized drafting
Salary Range: 90,000 to 105,000 per annum plus annual bonus target of 10%
