The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Data Analyst. This job is full-time permanent.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst with a strong focus on financial data to join our team. This role will support financial planning, reporting, and decision-making by transforming complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial metrics, and data visualization tools.
Key Responsibilities :

Extract and maintain monthly financial databases.

Analyze financial datasets to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization or revenue growth.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Excel, or SQL.

Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial systems and reports.

Translate business questions into data queries and provide clear, concise insights.

Support automation of recurring financial reports and processes.

Monitor key financial KPIs and provide variance analysis.

Assist in ad hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Qualifications :
-
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

2-4 years of experience in a data analyst or financial analyst role.

Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI (or similar BI tools).

Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.

Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
