We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated senior snowflake database developer to join our talented team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in optimizing our data infrastructure, ensuring scalability, and fostering a data-driven culture within our organization.
The data platform is the foundation to any AI platform and it enables teams and customers to self-serve via data models and real-time streams. A self-serve approach and domain-focused management of analytical data is crucial to continue to scale our operations. Applying the data mesh architecture model, we empower individual domain teams to conduct their own cross-domain data analysis and reporting and establish connections between data domains.
What makes this opportunity exciting?Our team has built a reliable, efficient and scalable data processing pipeline sitting on top of Snowflake. With our large list of customers and use-cases, our data volumes increase and our processes are more complex. To stay ahead of the game, we are looking for a Snowflake expert that can help us manage our Snowflake instances and integrate Snowflake features and capabilities into our environments.
In this role, you will be expected to:- Design, implement, and manage the Snowflake Data Cloud environment to support our SaaS platform and ML operations at scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement efficient solutions.
- Optimize and tune database performance to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
- Develop and enforce data security best practices, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our data.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, contributing to the continuous improvement of our data architecture.
- Proven experience as a Snowflake Data Cloud Administrator or in a similar data cloud infrastructure role.
- Good understanding of Cloud, CI/CD and DevOps and you’re familiar with cloud services, like KMS key, VPC/VPN, SSO, AWS S3, AWS SNS, or Terraform.
- Experience with modern data-intensive applications and a solid understanding of data modeling and architecture principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative R&D environment.
- Strong technical leadership capabilities and a get things done attitude
